LANCASTER, Ohio (July 9, 2021) — Denise Bauer, RN, RRT, CHPN, president and CEO of FAIRHOPE Hospice & Palliative Care recently announced her retirement from the organization she’s been with for nearly 27 years. Her official last day will be Friday, July 16.
During her tenure with the organization, FAIRHOPE constructed The Pickering House and The Anita M. Turner Center for Grief. During Bauer’s leadership, the organization was also honored with the Lancaster-Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year and the Columbus CEO Magazine’s Healthcare Achievement Award. Bauer started working with FAIRHOPE in 1994 as a clinical coordinator. She became president and CEO in 2005.
“I have been truly blessed to be afforded the opportunity to work with many amazing and dedicated individuals and staff throughout my time at FAIRHOPE,” said Bauer. “I will always be thankful for those past and present staff, volunteers, groups and of course this wonderful community for their unselfishness and willingness to promote the mission of our organization.”
Denise has done a remarkable job as the leader of the organization per John Snider the Board President of FAIRHOPE’s Board of Trustees. “Like all good leaders do, she has recruited and trained her successor Kristin Glasure to step into her shoes as FAIRHOPE’s next President and CEO. Although due to her many years of dedicated service as our leader Denise has left big shoes to fill, the Board is confident that thanks to Denise’s past mentorship Kristin will be able to do so. In addition to our thankfulness for her many years of dedicated leadership to the organization, we wish Denise every happiness in her well-earned retirement.”
