LANCASTER, Ohio (April 9, 2019) — FAIRHOPE Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. has selected Mitch Caton as its Employee of the Month for April. The peer-nominated award is determined after drawing from employee submissions to recognize employees who go above and beyond in their care, compassion and commitment to others.

“FAIRHOPE’s employees take pride in providing exceptional care for all patients and families who walk through our doors,” said Denise Bauer, FAIRHOPE President/CEO. “Mitch’s dedication to our patients shines through in his work, and we are pleased to recognize him as FAIRHOPE’s employee of the month.”

Caton began volunteering with FAIRHOPE in 2008 because he enjoyed connecting with families throughout their care. He applied for a nursing position at FAIRHOPE four years ago and has been a great asset to the team ever since. Outside of work, Caton travels to enjoy time camping, biking, photographing, hiking and skiing.

LANCASTER, Ohio (March 27, 2019) — FAIRHOPE Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. will host its annual FAIRHOPE Celebrates Life event on Thursday, May 2 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at The Mill Event Center, 431 S. Columbus St. Tickets are $50 per person and includes entertainment by Bad Influence, hors d’ oeuvres, cash bar, silent and live auction.

The event will also feature the FAIRHOPE Awards Presentation where winners for the following awards will be announced:

  • The Virginia L. Pickering Philanthropic Award
  • The President’s Leadership Award
  • The “Heart of Hospice” Award

LANCASTER, Ohio (February 25, 2019) — FAIRHOPE Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. will hold its Spring Family Grief Camp on Saturday, March 9 from 12:30-3:30 p.m. at the Anita M. Turner Center. This event is free, but registration is required. You can register by calling Tracey Miller at 740-785-6546.

The Family Grief Camp is ideal for a child or family who has experienced the death of a special person and wants to learn ways to honor their memory.

Registration Still Available for Volunteer Training with FAIRHOPE Hospice & Palliative Care

LANCASTER, Ohio (February 19, 2019)— FAIRHOPE Hospice & Palliative Care is welcoming community members to make a difference as part of their volunteer team. Volunteers partake in rewarding experiences through opportunities in patient companionship, clerical duties and community outreach.

 “Volunteers are the heart of our organization, bringing joy, light and love to our patients, families and staff,” said Denise Bauer, FAIRHOPE President/CEO. “Volunteers are able to specialize in areas of patient care, office duties, and community outreach to create an enjoyable, rewarding experience. Any amount of time is deeply appreciated by our staff and the families they serve.”

There is still time to register for the upcoming FAIRHOPE Hospice Volunteer Training Class.
